VALORANT’s VCT GAME CHANGERS released an update revealing blueprints to increase female pro-play performance today! Anna Donlon, the Executive Producer of VALORANT, shares some interesting ideas from her playbook:
Starting this march, the GAME CHANGER Series and GAME CHANGER Academy have a “goal” to include more diversity! By diversity, they mean more female leagues moving forward. GALORANTS is also joining in once more to help gain more traction in these scenes as well.
They did mention it would be safer within the competitive scene once this VCT GAME CHANGERS Series happens in March. This is great, and I hope to see more talented girls step up to these tournaments rather than falling back to content creation because they don’t feel welcomed. I see this issue so often where many girls want to be like Cloud 9 White, but they don’t get the same welcoming process.
Yes, there’s still tons of Sexism in gaming, even though the gaming community is starting to level out. Even with that being the case, VALORANT is the only game currently that brings truly talented female teams to the spotlight. You never see games do this nowadays.
