Valve Is Making A New System That Auto-Mutes Toxic Players In CS:GO!

Counter Strike: Global Offensive was released in 2012, it’s 2020 and they are now deciding that Voice Chat toxicity is out of hand. 8 years of toxicity via Voice Chat has flew under the radar for most victims.

Anyways, the system strives off Player reports. After a number of reports are made on a Toxic player, that player will then receive a warning requesting termination of their toxicity.Β

If they refuse to terminate their toxic behavior, that player will be set to mute by default upon entering any match. You can unmute the player if you wish, I don’t know why you would want to though.Β

Players who earn this penalty, have 1 way of getting rid of it. If the player earns enough xp, they will have the penalty removed. If they don’t play any matches after Auto-Mute Penalty, the penalty will remain.

New system or not, i’m more than sure racism & death threats will still fly under the radar. CS:GO along with games like Overwatch and Rainbow Six: Siege will always breed Voice Chat toxicity.
