Season 11 will change League of Legends forever, and I meant to talk about this earlier. Being an avid League player myself, I’m very invested in the state of League of Legends. I won’t lie to you, Season 9-10 was a complete s**tshow, and change is definitely needed.
Now let’s answer the question, “Why will Season 11 change League of Legends forever?”. No matter what rank you are, this new season will even everyone out for the first months of the season.
What Changes in Season 11?
Season 11 brings a complete item overhaul, making Jungle easier to learn, and a list of minor but effective changes to League of Legends. I’m gonna start with the Item overhaul because, man there is a lot to learn.

Luckily, there’s a really cool YouTuber named “Exil” who inspired me to do an article about this. Exil also did a long but educational rundown on the majority of the items and changes himself. You can check that out here:
If you did happen to look at that video, you will see all the insane new items that will alter gameplay in League forever. Although they removed some items, they’ve effectively replaced them with improvements.
Well, not all the items got replaced. For example, The Blade of the Ruined King is still in the game but got nerfed hard. The point of this item rework is to remove the everlasting broken items and meta. Infinity Edge, Tri-Force, Blade of the Ruined King, and Death’s Dance have made the game unbearable, especially in Season 10, where Grevious Wounds doesn’t do much for you.
AD (Attack Damage) champions got an uber-buff in Season 10 with these items to dominate everyone. Certain champions would always return into the meta like Vayne, Caitlyn, Graves, and plenty more. But none of that matters anymore because, in Season 11, anyone can be the next meta.
Why do I say anyone can be the next meta? Because most of these new items fill in the gap of flawed champion design. Are you playing Evelynn but don’t have a stun? Build Everfrost, and you can now slow/stun your enemies, making it virtually impossible to fail a gank.
There are way better examples than that, but I decided to pinpoint one of the more annoying ones first. But the main point I’m trying to get across here is that making a new meta will be too easy.
There will still be some broken champions and some broken items as well. That’s never going to change. With a lot of new items, though, this could even make the weak champions strong.
This about all I can say about the items due to the details that I’ve seen so far. Some of these items will be changed before the end of Season 10, so we won’t be able to predict the next meta.
The Jungle Changes
Being a Jungle main myself and watching countless Tyler1 fanboys fail in the jungle, I 100% understand why it needs to be easier. Jungle is not an easy role. You literally have to manage three lanes at once, get all major objectives, and make sure your team gets ahead.
I don’t care who says Jungle is an easy role. They all fail to try to prove it the majority of the time. Take it from me, I’m a Diamond Jungle Main, and I understand why Tarzaned acts the way he does.
Going back on topic with the changes, they are pretty good for beginners:
- Camp Health Decreased (Good)
- Movement Speed Increased (Fair)
- Scuttle Crab now has a 500 damage shield but can be knocked off instantly with any form of CC. (Fair)
- You don’t need to build a Smite Item anymore. (Great)
- Krugs got changed for the 3rd time (Just remove the camp lol)
These changes are very positive in the Jungle field, making it easier for people to learn it.
Season 11 hasn’t even been released on Live Servers, and I’m already on PBE trying to learn the items! The game is way more fun now, and I haven’t felt this way about League in a while. I feel like a new player again, and that’s what got me hooked into League in the first place.
If you want to give the items a shot yourself, they are on PBE right now (at the time of this article). You can download PBE from here. To register, your main account must be in good standing (no current bans) and be honor level 3 or above.
