Rocket League goes free-to-play next week on all platforms!
The quite popular Soccer Car Game “Rocket League” is now taking a sharp turn into free-to-play. We’ve previously covered this, but now we have an arrival date that we can look forward to! Rocket League will become free-to-play on September 23rd, 2020, you can read the full details here.

In addition, Fortnite is collaborating with Rocket League in a event called “Llama Rama”. There haven’t been any details on this upcoming event from both the games, but we do know is that the event will appear in both games. This collaboration is all due to their move from Steam to Epic Games of course.

So, we can expect Rocket League to turn into a microtransaction monster thanks to their new partners. As far as the free-to-play goes, I think it’s a wonderful idea considering how absent the game has been for the past two years. Whenever your game is dying, free-t0-play is usually your last hope. No shame in it though, because this isn’t a complaint from yours truly.
Obviously, I will be downloading Rocket League on Epic Games Store once it’s available next week. This game will also appear free-to-play on Xbox and PlayStation for those console-heads out there who want in on the fun as well.
