Mixer Is Shutting Down After Racism In Management Was Revealed

Streaming service “Mixer” shuts down after former employee reveals racism in management at Mixer. Shocker? Not really, considering the sickening shit that’s going on right now.

Former Mixer employee, Milan K Lee, recently tweeted out his experience over at Mixer:

In this TwitLonger link, he goes on to explain multiple Red Flags during his time over at Mixer. Here’s his experience in 2 quotes:

I was one of the only black people working at Mixer during my tenure. While at a conference I was pulled aside and told that the only reason I was hired is because I am β€œstreet smart”.

He then gets to the most horrible part in this long tweet:

Time goes by and we are in an internal meeting discussing projects we wanted to execute. My manager decided to give us an analogy, that analogy was β€œI’m in between a rock and a hard place. What I mean is all the partners are my slaves, I own their content. I control their success on our platform. For me I am the slave master, I own partners”. Immediately I got angry, pissed off and honestly I didn’t want to work at Microsoft/Mixer anymore.

Now, this seems to be true considering Mixer literally gave their streaming service to Facebook Gaming a day after this was revealed… Why the sudden change if this wasn’t true? This is their reply:

Β β€œWe’ll be vigilant in addressing this more diligently in the future.”, what future? You basically threw your streaming service away when you hired a racist manager. Anyways, now their service is going to Facebook Gaming.

To top it off, their top streamers Ninja and Shroud left after hearing about this. It seems they did get their payments from the contracts according to Richard Lewis!

This is pretty much how Mixer HQ reacted after Milan K Lee tweeted his experience with Mixer:

Now before we leave, not all of their employees were racist. All we know is that the manager was a racist, so don’t be mad at the employees for doing their job.

I’m pretty sure they knew her history, which is why I don’t feel bad about this unfortunate event. It’s disgusting and unacceptable.
