Dreamhaven, the new company by former Blizzard CEO, Mike Morhaime. This is some interesting news we have here, Activision has a heavy influence on this decision.
A whole bunch of Blizzard vets including former CEO Mike Morhaime have started a new video game company, free of Activision. Many had left because of Activision’s growing influence on Blizzard’s culture and process https://t.co/dDMHNAw4Jd

If you didn’t know, Blizzard has been losing lots of veterans after partnering with Activision. I’ve heard multiples reasons as to why they left, but they were all different. There was no main reason, it was either “Too many games” or “Activision’s community is toxic”. The part with Activision’s community being “Toxic” is kind of ironic considering they run Overwatch.
Anyways, Mike Morhaime made this new company called Dreamhaven, which he revealed recently today. Other Blizzard veterans have also joined Dreamhaven’s journey. Mike said “I’m excited to team up with such talented people who care deeply about games and their communities,” glad you noticed Blizzard doesn’t care about their communities Mike.
So far, Dreamhaven already has two studios, Moonshot Games and Secret Door! Moonshot is led by Jason Chayes, Dustin Browder, and Ben Thompson. Secret Door is led by Chris Sigaty, Alan Dabiri, and Eric Dodds.

I can’t really blame them for feeling this way about Activision, they are toxic. Call of Duty games are the training grounds for toxicity, then they move to other games with the that COD energy. Activision doesn’t give a f*** about their community, that’s why racism, sexism, and anything offensive runs rampant over there. I sometimes hop on for a game or two in Modern Warfare, and I’m often greeted with an insult most of the time.
